My name is Dany Vos from the Netherlands. Photography has been my hobby for about 30 years now.
15 years ago I had the idea of creating my own unique style of photography.
By mixing all kinds of natural elements with a few drops of different liquids, I am able to visualize the proces of crystalisation of these elements.
With the use of a special enhanced microscope, I capture this proces on photo.
I use polarisation filters to enhance colours. Some pictures are manipulated with help of the computer, in order or salt in water.to create an extra dimension like depth.
To make these crystals, I use and mix all kinds of natural materials and/or chemicals like vitamins, sugar, salt, alcohol and water.
For example: a mix of sugar in alcohol
Also, I use developer and special paper fixations in the darkroom to get more quality in my photo. There is a lot of simple stuff to create crystals.
